Open Water Open Water Certification is issued upon completion of all confined and open water classes. Attendance is mandatory for all classes, the PADI / YMCA Scuba Course is sequential in design, requiring components to be completed in the proper sequence.  When a student misses a class, it is the students responsibility to arrange with Sub-Aquatics to get coverage of missed material before the next class session.  If the material has not been completed, the student will not be permitted to participate in the next class session. Habitual absences  (more than one) could result in  failure to complete requirements to progress to the Open Water Training Dives, and eventual PADI / YMCA Certification.  When  requirements are not met, the entire class must be repeated at no additional cost. The Open Water Certification dives will be scheduled during the course of the class. The open water certification dives for the months of October through Spring will be scheduled with the students safety, weather conditions, and instructors availability in mind.
